The 16 qualifiers for Womens Euro 2025 Switzerland have been drawn thus:
                                    A - Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Finland
                                    B - Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Italy
                                    C - Germany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden
                                    D - France, England, Wales, Netherlands

The usual pre-xmas summary of Scottish Amateur and Youth Cups is now up on 
the site under `am-yth`. Apologies for any errors as little of this has been written
down at SAFA or, particularly, SYFA. No wonder Scotland struggles ...

FIFA Congress has approved Portugal, Spain and Morocco to host the 2030
World Cup .. and Saudi Arabia to host the 2034 edition. Three matches in 2030
will take place in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay to mark their centenaries.


The usual December youth draws have set our young teams up for 2025 closing matches and 25/26 opening phases, which you can follow under `Scotland` ..


Scotland drew Level B r-up, Greece, for p-off on 20 (a) and 23 (h) March, 2025 ..
should be their toughest challenge since Portugal.  World Cup draw is Fri Dec 13 ..
in POT 3, likely a 4-team group starting September. Again .. it is a big ask ..

FIFA name Club World Cup 2025 grounds,  the final at Metlife (New York) 

on July 13 .. also the final venue for World Cup 2026Inter Miami are chosen as home rep.  On TV .. DAZN will broadcast all 63 matches free-to-air world-wide.

SYFA Youth Cup finals will again be held at Airdrie, 25-27 April, 2025.


Some changes to the SWPL 24-25 with three clubs to be relegated and no p-off,

leaving two leagues (10 x 10) for season 25-26 .. resulting in fewer domestic

games while there is to be an increase in UEFA matches, inc a 2nd trophy ..

A much-needed improvement in competition possible ..


Scotland Women return to Nations League `A` and a much tougher run towards World Cup in Brazil 2027remembering they lost Australia/N.Zealand to R.Ireland.

 Despite 32 teams, it is harder to reach in Europe than a Euro, with just 11 nations heading for S.America .. and SWNT (as we saw v Finland) are not well organised.
